Introduction

The spirit groups are an integral part of the William Penn University athletic department.  The William Penn Golden Girls Dance Team performs at home basketball games and home football games.  The dancers also make various community appearances and perform across the state at spirit events and competitions.

The dancers perform at many prestigious events across the state as they work hard to elevate PENN DANCE to new heights!  The team competed at the The Iowa State Dance Team Association Competition at Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Des Moines where the team received a DIVISION I RATING, in addition to getting a first place trophy and spirit stick at NDA camp in Chicago, Ill.
