For the first time in school history, the Statesmen basketball program claimed three-peated the league crown as the team also advanced to the NAIA Division II
Men's Basketball National Tournament for the second year in a row.
Penn, who finished with a school-record 28 wins in finishing 28-6 overall, was 13-3 in the Midwest Collegiate Conference. The Statesmen advanced
to the MCC Tournament Finals for the fifth consecutive year and, claiming the title to earn the automatic qualifier.
Seniors Andre Thompson and Joseph Powell both claimed first-team all-MCC, while Kris Miller was an honorable-mention selection.
Thompson was a two-time MCC Player of the Week, while Powell and Miller collected the award once each.
Luke Letzring departed the program as the all-time leader in season and career blocks.
