Introduction
After a six year hiatus, William
Penn University has reinstated women's golf and our first season will be the fall of 2008. Here at WPU we are excited at the opportunities ahead for us as we build this program into
champions!
As an NAIA institution, we are able to offer both athletic and academic scholarships that will
aid in paying for your higher education. Our first team for 2008-2009 year will consist of ten individuals so that we can field both a varsity and junior varsity squad. We will face
some of the best programs in the Midwest, which means we will play at challenging courses against very strong competition in order to make ourselves better.
William Penn believes in the true definition of "student-athlete." We will not only help you to
be the best possible player, but also help you become the scholar you will need to be to succeed in college and for the rest of your life. In addition to your life as a golfer,
coming to WPU will give you the opportinity to be involved in numerous extracurricular activities such as student government, The Chronical (WPU's newpaper), The Quaker (WPU's
yearbook) and The Student Ambassadors program just to name a few.
Through team dinners and outings, we will build a team chemistry that will aid us to be a
better unit not only on the course, but off as well. Hopefully everything you have read so far has persuaded you to give William Penn University a closer look. We encourage you to
follow the "Prospective Student-Atheletes" link below and we are looking forward to seeing on campus.
